Published September 16, 2025

We’re proud to share that RCC graduate Dr. Zhongqin (Suzy) Wu, Ph.D., RMT, R. Ac, & RTCMP has put her name forward as a candidate for the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) Board of Directors in District 9.

With over a decade of experience in massage therapy, acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and academic research, Suzy brings a unique perspective shaped by both clinical practice and scholarly training. She earned her Ph.D. from Queen’s University and has worked across diverse healthcare settings — from solo practice to multidisciplinary clinics and community health programs.

In her candidate statement, Suzy highlights three priorities:

  1. Commitment to public protection and quality of care – ensuring clients receive safe, effective, and compassionate treatment.

  2. Bringing diversity and inclusion to the Board – ensuring leadership reflects Ontario’s multicultural population and broadening perspectives in decision-making.

  3. Bridging disciplines in patient care – drawing on her expertise in Western science, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and manual therapy to foster collaboration across healthcare fields.

“My priority has always been the health and safety of clients. I believe increasing the Board’s cultural diversity will better reflect Ontario’s population and strengthen the quality of care delivered to the public.” – Dr. Suzy Wu
