Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy is Registered as a Career College under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

○ WINTER TERM:
Term start date; Monday, January 6th, 2025.
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
1. Educational Background:
○ Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, such as:
• A Secondary School Diploma from another Province or Territory.
• A General Education Development (GED) issued within Canada.
• A transcript, diploma, or certificate from another country, assessed at OSSD level by a recognized assessment service.
• A Canadian post-secondary degree.
• A non-Canadian post-secondary diploma or degree assessed as equivalent to a Canadian post-secondary diploma or degree by a recognized assessment service.
2. Age and Testing:
○ Must be 18 years of age or older.
○ If past transcripts are not provided, passing a qualifying test is required.
3. References:
○ Two signed character reference letters:
• Letters must be original and include contact information.
• References should specifically address the candidate’s suitability for the Massage Therapy Diploma Program.
4. Health Statement:
○ A statement of good health from your family physician, confirming that you are fit, healthy, and free of communicable diseases.
5. Personal Essay:
○ A personal essay (500 words) describing your motivations for becoming a massage therapist.
6. Criminal Police Check:
○ A current and valid Criminal Police Check (must be less than 1 year old).
7. Massage Experience:
○ Proof of having received a massage by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).
8. Language Proficiency:
○ Fulfillment of the Language Assessment Proficiency Policy.
Applicants require all of the above plus:
○ A post-secondary transcript from a recognized academic institution's health care degree program. Advanced Standing transcripts must be approved by the RCCMT Director of Education
○ Banks and financial institutions offer special programs for students. Find out about a student line of credit, RESP's and student credit cards
○ The Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP) allows withdrawals from RRSP's to finance full-time training or education
○ Monthly payment plans available
A student enrolled at RCCMT may claim a tuition tax credit for any tuition. An official income tax receipt will be issued to all students by end February.
